Local Residential & Comercial Roofing Service Contractors
Admitted to the Union in the year 1787, New Jersey is the 3rd state of the United States. It is home to roughly 9,288,994 people, and ranks as the 4th smallest state, occupying an area of 22,591.38 km2. New Jersey is dominated by two climatic zones - continental climate in North Jersey (with short warm summers and long and freezing winters) and humid subtropical in South Jersey (with hot, humid summers and mildly cold winters). The state is known for receiving a high amount of precipitation - a large part of which is snowfall - averaging to around 40 inches in the southern part of the state and 51 inches in the northern part, annually. When it comes to roofing systems, property owners in New Jersey are always on the lookout for something that can tolerate both humidity and excessive snowfall, while sustaining the minimum possible damage. They also tend to seek good aesthetics, and press a high curb appeal. Asphalt shingles, tiles, flat roofs, metal roofs and wooden shakes all feature among the popular ones in this state - each having its specific advantages, requirements, level of affordability, and of course aesthetic appeal. Asphalt shingles, for instance, are fairly inexpensive, require less upkeep, and have a medium aesthetic - unless they are custom-built. Tile roofs are high-cost but low in upkeep, and are beautiful aesthetically but don't come with a lot of variations. Flat roofs perhaps cost the least and require the least upkeep amongst all types (which is perhaps why they are popular among commercial properties) but do not have any aesthetic qualities. Metal roofs, though not the most aesthetic can be made aesthetically appealing, though it can influence the level of cost and upkeep, both of which are low on an otherwise basic one. Wooden once by far cost the most, but have a high aesthetic value and medium upkeep.
Roofing Services & Contractors in Pennsylvania
Admitted to the Union in the year 1787, Pennsylvania is the 2nd state of the United States. It is home to roughly 13,011,844 people, and ranks as the 33rd largest state, occupying an area of 119,283 km2. Pennsylvania's southeastern corner, which includes a section of the greater Philadelphia enjoys a humid continental climate, with warm summers and cold freezing winters. The rest of the state enjoys a humid subtropical climate, where the summers are comparatively hotter but the winters are milder. Precipitation level here are largely above average, though some of the parts in the west of the state (especially near Lake Erie) can face over 100 inches of snowfall every year. Pennsylvania is also vulnerable to floods and tropical cyclones - hurricane Agnes being one of many such examples. The prime requirement for Pennsylvania property owners is to have roofing systems that can face essentially anything the weather throws at them, and maintain a high curb appeal while they’re at it. Homeowners have a preference for asphalt shingles, which in recent years are largely customizable and can be made to look aesthetically appealing. The level of customization, of course, will dictate the type and level of maintenance, as well as its associated cost. Those with a sense of nostalgia opt for materials such as brick, clay and cedar - which do wonders for curb appeal.
